Morongo Casino Resort & Spa to Show UFC 104: Machida vs. “Shohun” Rua

Cabazon, California (September 22, 2009) – Can’t make it to Staples Center and need a place to watch UFC 104?  Morongo Casino Resort & Spa has you covered with a UFC 104 viewing party inside the Morongo Ballroom, Saturday, October 24 at 7:00 p.m. 

In the main event, Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida makes his first light heavyweight title defense again former PRIDE superstar Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.   In May, Machida electrified the mixed martial arts world with a thrilling knockout of Rashad Evans.  Rua is coming off back-to-back knockouts of Chuck Liddell and Mark Coleman.

In the co-feature, two of the top young heavyweight contenders in the sport will meet, as unbeaten Cain Velasquez takes on former IFL star “Big” Ben Rothwell in what is being hyped to be one of the most memorable fights of 2009. 

Other fights on the card include former UFC lightweight champion Sean Sherk taking on Gleison Tibau, Joe “Daddy” Stevenson battling Spencer “The King” Fisher and Anthony Johnson facing Yoshiyuki Yoshida.
